Sweet Cornbread


Cornbread can be served alongside chili, barbecue fare, and warm soups.

  • 3⁄4 c butter, melted
  • eggs, separated
  • 1 1⁄4 c thrive instant milk, prepared
  • t vanilla
  • sift together in a separate bowl:
  • c thrive white flour
  • c thrive cornmeal
  • T thrive baking powder
  • 1⁄2 t thrive iodized salt
  • 1 1⁄4 c thrive white sugar


* Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form; set aside.
* Mix yolks, milk, and vanilla in a large bowl, then add cooled butter.
* Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and stir until combined. Gently fold in egg whites.
* Pour batter into a greased and floured 9"x13" pan.
* Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out cleanly.
